Continuous Improvement

Curriculum management is the mechanism that keeps the curriculum effective, relevant, and sustainable in practice. The Study Programme runs it as a managerial cycle of Setting, Implementation, Evaluation, Control, and Improvement (PPEPP), in line with the internal and external quality assurance system laid down by the Directorate General of Higher Education and adopted across UNISSULA.

The PPEPP Cycle

1. Setting

  • The curriculum is set through a comprehensive academic study involving lecturers, enrolled students, alumni, employers of graduates (law offices, notary offices, companies, courts), professional associations (PERADI, INI), and the relevant units at university level.
  • Their input drives the update, so that the curriculum stays aligned with the National Higher Education Standards, national higher-education policy, and the specific standards of the legal field, and remains relevant to the workplace, to the development of legal scholarship, and to legal technology.

2. Implementation

  • Teaching follows the distribution of courses across the semesters, and every course carries a Semester Learning Plan (RPS) that its lecturer draws up and updates periodically.
  • Active and innovative methods are used: interactive discussion, case studies, Problem-Based Learning, Project-Based Learning, moot court, legal clinic, and hybrid or blended learning where it fits.
  • All teaching activity is monitored through UNISSULA's integrated information system, which records lecturer and student attendance, classroom activity, and student assessment results.

3. Evaluation

  • Implementation is evaluated periodically through student and staff satisfaction surveys, review of the teaching process, and measurement of how far course and programme learning outcomes are met.
  • Evaluation uses standardised, documented instruments, and the analysis of its results becomes the basis for improving and developing the curriculum.

4. Control

  • Monitoring lecturer and student attendance through the information system.
  • Checking that teaching keeps to the published timetable.
  • Coordination between the lecturers teaching a course.
  • Corrective action wherever a discrepancy is found.

5. Improvement

  • Periodic revision of the curriculum in step with advances in law and technology and with new regulation.
  • Refinement of teaching material and method, for example by integrating legal technology.
  • Benchmarking against comparable law programmes nationally and internationally.
  • Acting on the recommendations of internal quality audit and of external accreditation.

Improvement Log

Coming Soon

The official content and data for this section are being prepared by the Study Programme and will be added shortly.

The cycle above is the mechanism, taken from the curriculum document. The log itself — what is being improved, by whom, and against which indicator — has not yet been received from the Study Programme.
