The S1 Ilmu Hukum Study Programme at UNISSULA's Faculty of Law is committed to developing international cooperation in education, research, community service, and academic exchange to create legal education of global standard.

Value to the Study Programme: Cooperation covering education, community service, research, and scholarly publication, delivered as collaboration that allows both students and lecturers to move between the two faculties.

Activities carried out
- The main focus is joint research and the development of advanced education together with The College of Sharia, ASPU
- It opens collaborative research to lecturers and students, and the exchange of ideas and teaching material
- A joint field study at the High Court of Central Java and the Semarang High Religious Court
- The exploration of student and staff exchange was led by Prof. Dr. Anis Mashdurohatun, S.H., M.Hum. in May 2025

Activities carried out
- Cooperation opened with a pre-MoU visit by the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law to UNISSULA on Tuesday 11 March 2025, accompanied by a large delegation of doctoral students
- In April 2025 the Faculty of Law sent students to Al-Azhar University for one month of teaching and learning
Value to the Study Programme: Deepens Islamic law in civil, criminal, business, and land matters as comparative material for Indonesian law.

- In November 2024 the Faculty of Law sent 19 students: 5 from the Bachelor of Laws, 5 from the Master of Notary Practice, 5 from the Master of Laws, and 4 from the Doctor of Laws
Value to the Study Programme: Cross-level student mobility, the first programme of its kind run by the faculty for all four degree levels at once.

Geographic reach
The programme's partner institutions are spread across three continents: Asia (Malaysia, Jordan, Thailand, the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam), Europe (the Netherlands, the United Kingdom), Africa (Egypt), and Turkiye, which straddles Asia and Europe. The forms of cooperation range from visiting professorships and staff exchange to student mobility, joint research and publication, and the exploration of double-degree programmes.
Faculty leadership has also spoken of cooperation being explored with further countries. Those institutions are not listed here until the agreement is recorded in the faculty's cooperation register — a page of partners must show partners, not intentions.

Domestic cooperation
Alongside these, the programme works with 36 domestic partners recorded in the same register — courts, the police and prosecution service, ministries and regional governments, other law faculties, and professional bodies such as PERADI, IKADIN, and PWI.
